I'm told by my modeller that the exporter crashes with a dialog box simply saying "Error exporting scene, please report". This only happens when export materials is selected, however it does not fail all the time. I'm told it's fairly random. The log shown after this just stops after the line "== Exporting Materials ==". Any idea on the problem? We have already got the exporter to export materials once or twice, but I'm told it's out of around 20 tries with the same settings each time.

Yes, i've noticed the same occurence. I was not able to figure out why it crashes, the log just stops at == Exporting Materials == indeed.

I simply tried to export the Nissan350Z.max example. The scene looks great in MAX Ogre Viewport, but I cannot export it

Can you please send me the file that causes the error, or a simple test bed scene where the error is occuring fairly often
In our tests we used houndreds of materials per scene and not erros wehre found, probably you are using a non supported max material, in either case please send me the scene

I am using max 8 at the moment. I simply load the scene (Nissan350Z.max) from oFusion website and export it to .osm without changing any settings at all.
The first time i try to export, i do not have any errors. If I try again to export it, I have the error. If I close max and reload the scene it works.
Thanks for this great tool anyway.

@Tyn: Can you provide the scene or the test bed scene to reproduce and track your issue

The artist was using the same model as manowar there, Nissan350Z.max that came with the plugin. Hearing what Maowar says sounds identical to what he was saying, restarting Max worked, just constantly trying worked. He was also using Max 8. Cheers.
