I think this image explains it all..:

* Strange positioning
* Some textures are not showing.

You can download the scene here if you like to test it:

Your scene needs an "Reset XForm" to all objects

Select all objects
In the utilities tab panel, click on "Reset XForm"
Update the viewport display (menu oFusion/Update)

The texture are there, but you cant see them because there are no lights illunimating the scene, add a few lights and you will see all the scene

Max uses a hidden two light system when there are no lights in the scene so you can see the objects, but in Ogre if you dont add a light, then your objects that define its material as affected by lights will be rendered black

Ar you can modify the material properties to have self-illumination or modify its ambient and diffuse colors

In the image, all materials were converted to Ogre Materials to fine tune the scene display

Note that i added two lights to the scene

Nice, thanks lioric.

Would it be possible to convert all max materials with one-click into ogre materials?

For example i have a some/a lot of scenes which have, ofcourse, all max materials.. converting to ogre materials could take a lot of work.

Its possible to upgrade all materials in the scene automatically, you can use maxscript for this batch upgrade

The instructions for this process will be posted in the "Artist Center" soon

Is that batch process already available btw in the current releases?
