Hi Guys!

Is it possible to create an exporter, which is able to export shaders for oFusion from Rendermonkey? So that you only need to copy the exported shaders into your ofusion/shader directory.
Click and go!

there is a rendermonkey exporter for ogre, it works with quite a few of the less advanced shaders. Allthough someone still has to adjust them to work with ofusion. And the material names are a pain since they keep the whole Rendermonkey material heirarchy in the name.

Like Effect_Workspace.Glitter.Single_Pass.Pixel_Shader.program

Btw, I heard there may be Ofusion Pro support for the Lumonix ShaderFX plugin eventually. Which is very artist friendly and works much like unreal3's shader material editor.

Thanks for the information.
I think I'll try the Monkey-Exporter.

The link from here seems not to work.
Where else can I get it from?
It would be nice if you could post an url.

They day is goining to be saved :)

It's not the most straightforward install solution.

You need rendermonkey 6.2 from ATI's web site

Python 2.4

python-2.4.4.msi

PyWin for windows

pywin32-210.win32-py2.4.exe

the rendermonkey ogre exporter

RmOgreInstaller-202-rm162-py24.exe

If you install them in that order, when you run rendermonkey, you can select an effect. And export it, seems to work best with single pass shaders.

Look at the image below to see how you go about exporting your chosed shader effect:

Everything works just fine, and Ican export shaders from Monkey.

...If I apply the shaders I exported from Rendermonkey, Max crashes, or I have plain-white geometry in Ogre...

Is there anything important to now, how to impliment the shaders?

thanks for helping

Some shaders need some modifications before you use them, see the "Using RenderMonkey shaders" tutorial in the Artist's Center for a details on using RM shaders
