[Bug] Crash on Ogre Material discard

When creating a new Ogre Material in an already used slot you get the option to discard the old material. If you do this _while the material in question is in use_ Max crashes, possibly because of a problem with oFusion.

This is with 7.0 SP1.

No, this seems not to be a problem with oFusion, the oMaterial support is used extensively on several companies for their current projects

I will test it with SP1

What is the type of the old material?
Is the oFusion viewport active? is the issue present if not?
Is this specific to an object or on any object?
What render system is used by the oFusion viewport and what is used by max viewports?

I'll get back to you on those questions, I don't have the time to try all that now, but thanks for your quick reaction.

What is the type of the old material?
Ogre Material
Is the oFusion viewport active? is the issue present if not?Viewport was active. Doesn't happen without oFusion active.
Is this specific to an object or on any object?
Tried it with a cube, but nothing else so far.
What render system is used by the oFusion viewport and what is used by max viewports?oFusion = OpenGL, Max = DirectX 9.0

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create object
2. Assign Material of type Ogre Material
3. Create new Material in same slot and Discard Old Material.

3dsMax has the following error report: Application: 3ds max Version: C076 03-09-2005 Error: Unhandled Exception

The issue will be reviewed, thanks for the information

In the mean time, you can use the "reset material" button if you need to set the material to its default settings
