Its being tested, as some users want a native particle support, while others want a completely different new particle system, we are testing a unification system were both can be used

Hello:

Some things I think should be corrected-implemented in future versions:

Materials:
When bath upgrading or evaluating materials, if the max material has the checkbox that makes the texture visible inside the viewport, after evaluating, the checkbox becomes unselected, and its VERY anoying to navigate trough all the multimaterial activating it so that it can be visible in the max viewport to adjust the UVs or watever.


oFusion does not take advantage from the 3D Max asset administration system With the asset browser, the user can detect missing resources and relocate them.

Time ago, with my first contact with Ogre, I used JPG textures. When I moved to .DDS I had to relocate ALL the textured models routes by hand.
I remember that like a real pain, as when I updated in the asset browser the routes, only the one shown in the maxviewport was corrected, and the one in ogre material remained wrong.

So adding the linking with the asset browser would be very welcome, I think.



Another point where I´ve spent (waste) hours has been redirecting lightmap routes of the multimaterials submaterials.

Or changing common values to a number of materials, I think that would be ussefull and Autocad like objet property menu.
What makes special this menu is the following:
It displays all the properties of the selected entity, and the ones that are common i.e: line scale it shows the value of this field. If you enter 0.1, then all the objets will have the same value.
If the selected objets have different values in that field it shows "various" text so that it wans you that you´ll omogenize all if changed that field to a concrete value.

So if something similar could be done values that need to be the same for a group of objets could fe set in a very fast way. I´m now thinking in difusse ambient etc colors. and in particular the texture units field so that the lightmaps of a concrete group of objets can be updated-redirected.

Please, consider this, navigating trought a multimaterial of 15 submaterials to change values is a tremendous waste of time.


Viwport navigation:
The inside max oFusion navigation remains horrible.
The rotation rarely takes the center the user wants. Just copying the max navigation sistem would be fine! with native options as having an objet selected and take it as rotation origin.

Also the mouse-wheel zoom step is unscalable , not like the mouse speed or keyboard speed. Mouse wheel also needs a parameter to control how much it zooms (normaly excesive zoom).

I would also apreciate if someone can confirm if the X-refs and groups are working in pro version as in CE dont.
