can anyone give a teaching on how to setup oFusion in max7?
i am a programmer, but i have to test oFusion for further use,can anyone help me? much thanks...

it pretty much sets itself up, but you do need a pretty good knowledge of both 3ds max and how game engines render to make good use of it.

To be honest the tutorials tell you everything you need in order to get started. The rest is learning Max and how materials are constructed.

in windows go to START/programs/ofusion for max/user guide

and everything in the .chm file

Using the ogre manual, specificaly:

was really helpful to help me around the blend modes and passes avaliable in ogre materials.

i have already seen this chm file (it's helpful)
i think maybe my problem is how to setup oFusion plugin in MAX7(not how to use it ^_^ don't laugh at me)

I remembered when I installed ofusion, after agreeing with the euler it asked for the path for 3dsmax.

You have to click browse and point the installer to the 3dsmax root dir.

I don't like a long convoluted path so I installed in c:/3dsmax8

don't choose the /plugins dir, the installer takes care of the rest. If you choose any other dir the exporter won't be installed correctly.

To see if it installed correctly, look at the list of drop[ down menus, in between Customize and MAXScript there should be an oFusion menu.

If you have any other ogre exporters for max, its possible you have a conflict between 2 plugins.

If you got this far, then ofusion is installed. So you just need to follow the instructions in the Docs.

ft...i setup oFusion to a different folder...
i didn's see the instruction to setup in MAX folder
