Strange filtering problem

Hi!

I'm rather new both to OGRE and oFusion. I've been messing around with it for a couple of weeks, and recently I've switched to Windows Vista.

Now, the problem I'm having is: Objects appear black from a distance, but the textures becomes visible upclose.

From what I see, the problem lies in texture filtering.

Here's a few screenies:

Far: Here

Close: Here

Filtering set to "None": Here

I'm using Windows Vista Business, 3D Studio MAX 2008 and the last oFusion CE release.

The way I see it, it might be a Vista problem, an oFusion problem, or a video driver problem. Not a 3D Studio MAX problem, beacause it worked fine on XP.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Do you have a Nvidia card with NVIDIA 175.16. Sinbad said something about mipmap corruption with these drivers in GL.

Don't know if your using GL or D3D.

Hey Evak! Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I do have a GeForce 8800GT with the 175.16 drivers. I'm no fan of OpenGL, I prefer Direct3D, but I didn't know I can change the rendering system in oFusion (*slaps forehead*). I switched to Direct3D and everything is ok now.

Hope there's a fix for OpenGL soon, though.

Cheers!

Glad that helped. Sinbad suggests it's actually a Nvidia driver problem. So I expect the next driver update will fix it.
