oFusion material breaks the max Standard material

Dear Lioric

When we use the oFusion material, and the max standard material saved in max viewport/render material of oFusion, it deletes the DirectX_Manager of the Standard material.

Is there any way can avoid this situation?

Thanks.

This is an internal max issue, is how max internally handles the standard materials (it adds the DX manager in the Mtl editor only, not to the material object)

If you provide more details about what exactly your project needs (the results that you need) we might provide you a sensible solution for your issue

Dear Lioric

Because of we use the max standard material which has the checked DX display to view the effect in max viewport.

We change it to oFusion material and choose 'keep old material', we still can see the effect in max viewport...
But when we try to enter the standard material which we kept, the rendering in max viewport become invisible...
We can't see the shaded model in max viewport...

Is there any way can avoid this situation?

I'm looking forward your reply.
Thanks a lot.

Probably you can create an instance of the std material in a different slot (Max adds the DX manager in the MTL editor, not to the material object per se)

Or if possible use the 'DirectX material' this is fully supported and you can load a .fx file that will be used in the Max viewport and by the oFusion viewport
