My question is:

Can i can combine the Paging Landscape SceneManager and the OSManager?

Is there aother possibility to make lets say a island ;) with the ocean from the ogre demo......

Can someone give me a hint how this could word?

Open the ocean example max scene, in the "Scene settings" panel select EXTERIOR_CLOSE (the terrain scene manager) and click on the "World Geometry" button to load the ".cfg" terrain file you want, you need to put the media files used by your terrain, like the textures and the heightmap, in the "ogre_azathoth/media"

There is an example terrain in the "ogre_azathoth/media" folder of your max installation, the file is "terrain.cfg"

Yep ok i see :) but was if want to use Paging Landscape SceneManager what i have to do than?(e.g.: hao do i define static geometry as static?)

The next update has StaticGeometry support, it should be available in the next days

Nice!
Does that update also contain the features like texture export and automatic duplicate texture renaming?

Yes it includes the Texture export as part of a more advanced feature, it can create subDirs with the meshes, materials, images and shader, and the loader lib will take care of them

Additionally, a full contained scene file can be created (zip with any extension)

Texture rename is not included, as this is very specific, so its more suited to be handled externally by the user (the max script system can be used for example) so he can define when a texture is the same or when a texture needs to be renamed

This sounds good :) one question is open can we use the PLSM plugin in some way with the new update?

Any SceneManager can be used with oFusion

We dont use the PLSM right now on our projects, but i will test it soon

Is it ready now?

By the way, if I want to use PLSM2 in my application with OSM files is it easy to do? Is there somewhere I can check how to do this?

What I mean is that if I create a Terrain for PLSM2 with it map editor, import the terrain in oFusion and export the scene with oFusion, getting the OSM file, will I be able to have the terrain working with PLSM2 for the optimizations?

The exported scene will use the optimizations provided by the selected scene manager

I will update about using PLSM as soon as i get some free time
