Newbie question about creating hightfield

Hi nxogre people,

This is my first post.

For a project I need to create a hightfield. I saw Nxogre support creating a hightfield using ogre new terrain.
But my requirement is make the hightfield using a hight field data exported from a terrain making software (png file or raw file).
Is this possible with nxogre?
