HI,all,I am a new ogrer,and I want to add some collision in my project so I turn to leran about ogreode,and found that when I following the tutorial here,http://www.ogre3d.org/wiki/index.php/First_steps_with_OgreODE
and get some problems.the box in the scene supposed to be falling down,which I found that it didnt. and I dont know whats wrong with my codes which I following the tutorial exactly step by step,colud any one help,I will very appriciate.
heres my codes:

I am so stupid,type the wrong name of the listener function,correct it and now I got another problem,when I run the appication,it comes out an error says that "stepsize must be>0 in../../ode/src/ode.cpp :1466"
could any one tell me why and how to fixed it ?

rewb0rn

make sure that evt.timeSinceLastFrame is never 0 if its passed (this happens especially in the first frame)

pathzk

thanx rewbOrn,
but in my project how can I make sure evt.sincelastframe not equal 0,
I mean how can I control this variable to make sure it never equal 0 even
in the first frame?

pathzk

19-08-2008 08:20:08

It works~!when I correct the evt.timesincelastframe to 0.1,and I can run and see the box falling down~
thx again,and I also want to know how to control evt.timesincelastframe not equal 0 especially in the first frame because I dont want to use constant 0.1?

rewb0rn

How about

if (evt.timeSinceLastFrame > 0 && mStepper->step(evt.timeSinceLastFrame))
{
mWorld->synchronise();
}

This is not a good place to start programming.

I m sorry,excuse my poor english,I just think should I call the function
if (mStepper->step(0.5))
{
mWorld->synchronise();
}

in frameEnded() instead;
thx again;
