I could do with say half a dozen public spirited people to help me test it, check it compiles ok, help me out with automake and figuring out how to make a set of patches are also up coming jobs, but most of all it needs a good thrashing

Substantially faster and much more stable than opcode, I think the gimpact author sold his soul... ;)

notice that the trimesh cylinders roll smoothly along a static trimesh, even hitting at speed the penetration is minimised and there is no penetration error jittering, unlike opcode where moving trimesh can actually get flung into the air almost from rest and take a very long time to calm down!

my modification of ogreode to work with gimpact was easier than I thought to get working and I'm happy with the stability! - ready for testing :D

Hey, Chris!
That's an extremely amazing video you've got there. Surely gimpact does the job better, than opcode. As a matter of fact this replacing opcode was on my todo list for sometime in the future, but since you've already done it, that's great!
I'd be glad to be of any assistance here. Atm I've got a dual boot machine on me - Lin and Win, but most of the development I do on the Win machine. So, if you'd like to share the files, then just say what we shall do first!

I would be keen to test the butchery ;) I've already done hasn't broken something in windows

I've been using the release candidate of ogre not realising that ogreode wasnt yet ready for it so I havent even been able to work on the Landscape stuff (some odd problem with the resources)

Theres a number of issues need fixing (It would be nice to auto detect for instance if ode is opcode or gimpact - and use the appropriate code)

And theres some extra ogre version switching that needs implementing as I just commented out stuff and assumed Ogre RC

anyhow I will PM you with my email and we can decide how we go from there...
