Why won't it run in Linux?

I was wondering, why MOGRE won't run in linux?

Because it's written in C++/CLI. It produces a mixed-mode .NET assembly (both managed and native code) that can't be used by Mono, plus there's no C++/CLI compiler for linux/Mono yet..
