Hey, tomorrow I'll be leaving for the army. I know that it sucks that I leave without making sure there's another maintainer or writing the docs, sorry about that :?.
The thing is there was too much work to finish before leaving and the free time left felt too precious to be spent in front of a computer.

The upside is that after 2 weeks I'll be home for 3 days, I'll try to catch up during that time.

Thank you Bekas! I love Mogre and will always use it. Would step in as a maintainer if it was not for a heavy load of work... Good luck in the military!

Usually, I'd agree.
Real life takes precedence.
But the Army?!
Tell them there are extraordinary circumstances and because of those you cannot serve in the army: You have to maintain Mogre. ;)

Well, anyways. Be good, don't get shot and bring me back a souvenir. :)

regards.

Hey, I'm back! Thank you all for your kind words of support :)

It kinda sucks in the army; it feels that your time is waisted doing meaningless stuff over and over again, and it's like having an asshole as your boss on a job that you can't quit.
Anyway, word is that things improve after basic training ends and you get transfered (in about a month).
The upside is that you get to know many new interesting people there.

Hehe, sweet memories.
Just do what they say and dont rant.
You are the noob there and big bosses are very good informed about your actions. If you do the job and show some comradeship, your life can get quiet easy (better room, more freedom, less 24 hour duties:D).

Repeating stupid stuff will pay out after month two (even Shaolin or christian monks have that kind of training).
You will see that the combination of physical training and the boring "clean the toillet with a tooth brush" things will give you a big push to your willpower and physical strength.
Makes you less thinking but more doing.
You will need that good condition to conquer the taverns later

Showing comradeship in form of a beer made our life very easy.
If you havent, get a XBox or something and dont be afraid to lend it.

Enjoy

Nice to see you are back. I assume you wont spend your 3 days working on Mogre... Anyway, anything you can do to allow us to update it ourselves would be appreciated.
