level editor with .net

Im Design my first level editor for my own 3d engine both will be utilizing the ogre3d render. The editor is made with .net and c#. Im looking at the how to seperate my rendering windows in .net and im thinking that i can seperate the windows but have a common root. Is this the best way to go about this?
