Finally our very own Betajaen has released his new project: “AmiOgre” a port of Ogre to the Amiga computer.
Google Summer of Code for Ogre is still progressing with some promising proposals. Feel free to add yours, or if you have something small which you want to add to or fix in Ogre now – submit a papercut.
Jacmoe has installed a new Kudos system, to award forum users with intelligent and well written posts. He has also changed the user rank system to a include comprehensive list of ranks based off the DnD universe.
That is all the news this time, but our Papercut initiative is still on going and of course we are looking for our GoSC 2011 students, if you feel you have a good idea then write a post in the forum.

CoreDumped added a ScriptCache, an effort to reduce script compiling time of resources which combined with Assaf Raman’s already implemented ShaderCache, can bring down application start-up times considerably.
University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) showed off some impressions and insight of their naval 3D simulator for the Navy of Sri Lanka, named “Vidusayura”.

With the year 2010 soon coming to an end, it is time for us as the Ogre Community to look back on this eventful past year. It is time to think about all the amazing moments and the enormous progress we made, but it is also time to bring back some of the sad moments. Unfortunately, they are inseparably chained together in that funny thing called life we all struggle through.
