Rope problem

I am trying to create a set of strings. I created a test rope and upon rendering all the boxes rendered on top of each other. They seem to join fine, they just aren't really acting like a rope. More like a clump of joined, swiveling boxes floating off into the distance. I'm using Oge3d bodies for this, maybe I need to use kinematic actors? Yesno? Anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

EDIT: FIXD. I was stupid and didn't set the local anchor properly.

Though, on another note, I've tried setting the global position for the first segment in the hopes that it would anchor it, but it seems to not like that at all. Do I set something other than the global position for this?
