Thanks to you guys I am in a lot of debt now :)

Just bought the new NxOgre computer (in parts):

- AMD (Venice) Athlon 64 3800+
- Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
- Corsair 2GB (2 x 1GB Matched Pair) DDR PC3200
- BFG 7900GT OC 256mb GDDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI
- Hiper 580W Type-R Modular PSU

And of course:
- BFG Ageia PhysX Accelerator Retail

The rest of the hardware (Harddisks, DVD Drive, Keyboard/Mouse and Monitor) I already have. I did want a new case, but this Lian-Li shall do for now. Although it is a little messy.

Thanks again to the people who donated money towards this, I put the entire thing (except for the PSU) on a credit card which I purposely applied for. Now I have to pay the entire thing off now, slowly with interest.

Anyway, the thing should be delivered by Tuesday so hopefully I should be able to do a more full-time development on NxOgre after that.

A tad. I want to play that CellFactor Demo to give it my professional opinion.

But it'll be nice to play games again. The Apple Mac's are great and all, but they really need some games ported over.

Also the Lian-Li case I have now, is so old , messy and sticky (I tried pulling out the anti-sound foam I put in there years ago and the glue is still on it. If the cats go anywhere near it, they'll be bald).
So I have to buy a new case. First idea was a Antec P180, except the PSU cable is to short for it, so I've settled for a Asaka Eclipse 62 which is nice and spacious. I prefer functionality rather than it looking like something from Ikea and Apple combined.

With the BFG PhysX card I got, was a couple of demos with one being playable, it's basically to show everything off, but it's not bad. And the executable name is Unreal, and it comes with the Unreal editor (to edit the map), perhaps it's a early version of Unreal 2007

Anyway, on with the screenies:




I supect it's quite obvious to you now, that I will be implementing as much hardware support as I can into NxOgre in the future, which is handy for budding indie games companies.

Jeah, man, nice machine. The screens look like the new unreal-engine, because on the website is a sample which looks nearly like this and the text under the sample is: 'This demo is constructed in Unreal Engine 3.'
So i think the demos are made with the unreal-engine 3.
Awsome, the demos come from Airtight Games, so it must be the new unreal engine..
Great..But hopefully you don't spend your time with playing games now, instead of developing nxOgre.

I'm very happy for you Betajaen... And everyone as well. Now that you have a good machine, development will surely pick up. Now just don't go getting crazy and blow this one up...

Be warned people. I have my Sims2, San Andreas and Half-Life2 addiction back now, and I will be installing Neverwinter Nights tommorow.

Never install to many games at one time..^^
I've got the same "problems" after getting a new pc.
i want to install all those games which doesn't worked on my old pc.
so i also want to play all the games at the same time..
my adivce do not do that...!!!^^


btw. NWN is one of the greates games ever, hopefully the second part i going to be well.. San Andreas is also cool, but Sims2? Really, ok there's no accounting for taste.
