Hi everyone,

im new to this forum and also to NXOgre and have to say that i like it very much. so thx to betajaen and all other in this project..

i have a problem running the nxogre sample app cakebox on an intel 945 gpu with directx9c. opengl works but extremly slow. when i try to use directx i catch up this error message in the ogre.log file:

13:23:05: OGRE EXCEPTION(3:RenderingAPIException): Failed to DrawPrimitive : Invalid call in D3D9RenderSystem::_render at ..\src\OgreD3D9RenderSystem.cpp (line 2738)

my specs are:
Physx 2.7.2
Ogre 1.4.3
NXOgre 0.9(33)
Windows XP SP3 TabEd

i cannot update the specs du to my project requirements. the ogre samples from the ogresdk are working fine, also with d3d. i know, that the gpu is crap and that something like 10% of all games are running on it :)

i just hope, that anyone has an idea or can tell me straight that it will work or not..or perhaps...how to speed up opengl..

and yes...i have used the search engine in this forum before...

It's an Ogre problem, not an NxOgre problem. I remember a few threads about posted recently on the main forums related to the DrawPrimitive error and Intel GPUs. I think it's more to do with drivers; or as you say the chip being crap.

Either way try searching on the main forums for DrawPrimitive, I found a few things.

i stoped searching on the main forum because of the fact, that the ogre samples work fine. also with d3d. so i will continue to search there and update this thread with links to possible solutions so that everyone can participate..

Cake is just an example though. You don't need it for NxOgre.

But I don't think there is a fix, I've seen many posts with those types of errors for the Intel GPU for a long time.
