The latest release has certainly been popular – over the last 2 days since it was released the site’s had about 4000 hits and nearly 1500 downloads! I guess the Quake3 level renderer has attracted a bit of interest.
Next on my list of things to do:
- Quake3 custom shader script support – since OGRE supports most of the effects required anyway all I have to do is get it parsing the .shader files to deal with the funkier of the Quake3 texture effects
- Particle systems – just because they can be so gosh-darn perty
- Dynamic shadows – I’ve been looking at a few techniques for rendering dynamic shadows in hardware, and I feel like trying some of them out
As usual I expect I won’t get through this list as fast as I’d like (the recent release of Return To Castle Wolfenstein is not helping in this regard), but I’ll do my best.
