Told you so! 😉

Version 0.97b is now available from the downloads page, as both a snapshot of the source code, and as a set of demos.

Major changes of note:

  • Dynamic library loading and plugins

  • More predefined ‘Controllers’ including waveform-based controllers – used in the demos to create some interesting texture effects

  • Improvements to the design to make it easier to port.

  • The BspSceneManager which renders Quake3 levels (now a plugin) now supports more texture effects using the new controllers: see ‘q3dm10’ for some serious texture effects! Also the 2-level scrolling skies look nice…8)

Now that that’s done, I’m free to move back to adding support for particle systems and saving / loading complex materials as scripts (allowing you to reuse them more easily). I also have to tackle mesh animation (both skeletal and traditional) since this is an oft-requested feature. There just aren’t enough hours in the day.. 8)
