Someone just raised a problem in the forums about getting a direct draw error when starting up 0.98b. This is caused by me leaving my ogre.cfg file in the release, which causes problems on some non-english versions of Windows because the ‘Primary Display Driver’ is in the native language(in this case it was ‘Pilote d’affichage principal’).

If you get any problems starting up 0.98b, try deleting the ogre.cfg file in the local exe folder. It will be recreated when you startup any Ogre demo based on the settings you choose, but this time the language-specific version of the direct draw driver will be picked up (alternatively you can use the existing ogre.cfg but change the ‘Rendering Device’ setting to your local language version using the drop-down list since it will have been detected).

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, I’m a typical Brit and sometimes I forget about the implications of foreign language OS versions! 8)
