Well, it’s been a hectic couple of months with cearny and I putting in some serious hours (and having a lot of fun doing it, mind), but it all pays off in the end. Sourceforge reports that OGRE has had a shade under 10,000 downloads per month since the start of February, which is very encouraging since it also excludes people who are getting it via CVS. The forums are also pretty active which is nice.
OGRE has also pipped the very well respected CrystalSpace engine to the number 1 ‘weekly activity’ slot in the Sourceforge 3D foundry for the past 3-4 days. Who knows if it will last, but it was a watershed for me – I never thought when I started this that we’d ever get near CrystalSpace; I was beaming all day after I saw the results. 8D
