The next stable version of Ogre, to be dubbed ‘0.15’, will be arriving in a few days. We’re in the process of testing the final patches which will make it into the release, so if you’re using CVS now, you can help us out by doing some additional testing of your own. Lots of things have been added, polished and buffed up since the 0.14.x release; full details will be available on release but we’re talking things like GLSL support, better reflection handling, more shader parameter mapping options, and lots more.
It’s worth noting that this will be the last release which will include the internal GUI classes (that means the the interactive elements like buttons, scroll bars etc, not static overlays which will remain available). The next major release of Ogre (the big 1.0) will, among other things, come with a Crazy Eddies Gui example instead. I recommend all Ogre users to begin migrating to CEGui as soon as possible – it’s a truly excellent GUI library.
