I’ve just released a special distribution for Ogre aimed specifically at Python developers. I have been asked to do this for people who want to use the engine from Python but don’t use C++ so can’t compile the sources. You can get the archive on the downloads page
This ditribution does not include the C++ source (only the compiled dlls) but includes a link to the sources. Because Ogre is licensed under the GPL, this distribution can only be distributed electronically – if it is distributed any other way, the source distribution must also be included.
Anyway, Python developers enjoy! There’s no documentation in this package for now, but you can check the documents out online.
