Big thanks to earthquakeProof, who has contributed a patch which allows exporting of skeleton and animation data from 3DS Max. The script exports the data to OGRE’s XML format (skeleton.xml), which must then be converted to a binary runtime format using the XMLConverter tool. The script also exports meshes in XML format (like the existing exporter which exports direct to binary).
The updates are in CVS; you’ll need to copy the ‘scripts’ and ‘ui’ folders over the existing ones in your 3DS Max folder and re-load the OGRE custom UI.
