I’m back, sorry if I missed some mail

I'm back from my travels, but I may have missed some mail because my domain registrar screwed up. If you sent me something over the last week it would have been bounced, please resend it in the next couple of days as the DNS entries sort themselves out again.

v0.9.7 Released

I've just packaged up a new snapshot for you, release 0.9.7. New things in this release include Mac OSX support, mesh LOD (generated and manually assigned), rendering to textures (D3D only for now), a Blender export script, lots of bugfixes (natch), screenshot support and a move to DevIL for image loading.

You can get the updated source code, Milkshape exporter and Demos from the downloads page.Note to Visual C++ users: you must download the new 3rd party libraries archive.

I'm off on business for a week, so apologies if there are any problems with this release! If you do find anything, please report it in the forums.

Switch to DevIL, dependency updates

Cearny has now implemented the switch to DevIL so the library depdendencies have changed a little (libpng and jpeglib are not used anymore, and DevIL is used instead).

MSVC users updating from CVS will need to download the latest version of the dependency archive if they update from today. Note that this also has a dependency on 3 more dlls, which are included in the dependency download and are placed in the ogrenew/Samples/Common/bin/Debug|Release folders; if you have your own application running from somewhere else you will need to put these new dlls on your path somewhere. This download isn't suitable for people using the 0.99f snapshot, it will tie into the upcoming new snapshot.

Update (temas): Linux and OSX should build now after rebuilding the configure script and running it. Caution: no error msg is printed yet if you do not have DevIL installed. That will be fixed this evening.
